Amy Crews X Pearson Farm

“Have you read the letter?” It had been sitting on our kitchen island for a couple of days. That’s our catch-all spot for mail and I just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. When I did get around to reading it, I could see why my husband and his dad were so moved by it. It was a keeper!

Lawton Pearson of Pearson Farm had sent a letter to all of their customers. It was heartfelt and honest. And so relatable. In summary, he shared how despite a tough year for peach crops he was thankful for their customers and he had good news! Now he could now see on the horizon a most bountiful harvest ahead. From heartache to abundant joy. Counting blessings. I’ll link it here if you’d like to read it.

We loved Pearson Farm peaches already. Now we loved the farmers too!

They were first introduced to us through my father-in-law who had gifted us a shipment of a “farmers dozen” peaches each year. I can’t recommend ordering or gifting these enough! They arrive packed with such care, snuggly held in their crate and always bringing the smell of fresh Georgia peaches to fill our kitchen.

After I read "the letter" I felt like a response was necessary. So I reached out to let them know that the letter made such a memorable impression on our entire family and that we were thankful for them too.
It didn't take long for a collaboration to be born. I could hardly wait to paint one of their peaches! And even more fun, you can now shop signed and numbered prints of my painting we titled "Pearson's Peach" as part of their holiday collection! You can see them in their catalog or on their website linked here

I was able to meet Lanier Pearson in person recently, when I dropped off the original painting and prints. (It was her husband who penned the now infamous letter.) We felt as if we had already known each other for some time. Matt and I are planning to visit them on their farm in the coming year. We can't wait!
I’m a firm believer in letting people know when they've touched you or when there are good things people are saying that they may not know of. And in this instance a collaboration and new friendship was born as a result. What an honor to be a small part of their catalog. As it is with all that they do, it is such a beatiful presentation.

Joy shared is joy multiplied. Indeed!

That peach painting reminds me of an Apple painting I have of yours from many years ago when our kids were little. It sits on a shelf in my kitchen and I see it every day. It reminds me of Apple cider mills and farms in my home state of Michigan!
